Concert Review on NashvilleRock.net, Nashville, TN
Lynette Vantreese, Chakra Blue, and The Josh Jackson Band at the The French Quarter, Nashville, TN
Well, it was a snowy night in Nashville with ice all over the streets and that kept many people at home in thier warm, safe houses. BUT that didn't stop the FQ from being packed to the gills with about 125 people to check out The Josh Jackson Band and friends! If it would have been a decent evening there would have been a line of people all the way to Slow Bar trying to get in!

First up was Lynette Vantreese and Band. Their style is somewhere along the lines of Sheryl Crow with softer vocals and more guitar soloing. She (was) signed with ATC Records, the same label as Edwin McCain. It was a great effort by these guys as the openers. There weren't many people there to see them, but they will be getting their props soon, mark my words.

Up next was Chakra Blue. This band is very much a "classic" rock band. Their music strikes the vein of Fleetwood Mac or Heart. All are talented musicians and they are very tight as a group. If you are a fan of 70's rock, check 'em out!

Then the headliners, The Josh Jackson Band, took the stage. Their energy got the now full room going right from the start. A poor mix in the house and a broken string or two didn't stop these guys from lighting the room up. By the end of the set, people were wanting more! The JJB has been getting a lot of press lately and very deservedly. They are a fun band who obviously enjoy what they do. I am not sure when their next show is but I will definitely be there! If you would like to know when they are playing, stop by their website, www.thejoshjacksonband.com.
